Coordinated Campaign IT Director – Wilmington, DE
Position Summary:
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring a Coordinated Campaign IT Director to provide support to our DNC and State Party staff! We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, proactive, detail-oriented with some project management skills and expertise. The selected candidate should feel comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment. The Coordinated Campaign IT Director will oversee Regional IT / Cyber Desk Analysts in support of day-to-day activities and work closely with state-level IT Directors. This individual will be an extension of the DNC IT Director in implementing strategic vision, ensuring efficient operations and providing optimal support and assistance to DNC and State Party employees in support of the Biden campaign and other Democrats. Frequent travel will be required for this role to support various locations based on business needs. Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of Helpdesk Staff with varying skill sets
• Collaborate with senior leadership to understand technology needs/requirements and align IT solutions with campaign goals to support Democrats up and down the ballot
• Oversee and implement technical hardware and software initiatives, upgrades and maintenance
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers
• Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation, drive automation and the concept of self-service via knowledge management and employee portals/wikis
• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as IT director or similar role
• 4+ Years of Experience
• Previous Political and Help Desk Management Experience
• Excellent analytical and management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders as well as vendors and end users
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching;
• Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF;
• Knowledge of Zendesk ticketing system
• Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and chromeOS
• Knowledge of single sign on (SSO) concepts and protocols such as SAML, OAuth and OIDC.
Travel: The Coordinated IT Director position will require travel, which could be up to 25% of the time.
Salary: The starting salary for the Coordinated IT Director position is $120,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 30, 2024.
