Opportunity


The candidate will be joining a small, but established information security team, primarily based in London, with the flexibility of remote working. The role will be focused on various aspects of information security, including but not limited to:



  • Responding to potential threats

  • Involvement in our incident response processes

  • Assisting with exploratory work around existing and emerging threats

  • Driving development in technical security controls

  • Assisting in security assessments of vendors


Day-to-Day duties include



  • Analysing and responding to security incidents, including post-incident analysis

  • End-to-end handling of SIEM generated events and escalated tickets/ emails

  • Risk assessment of technical vulnerabilities mapped against existing infrastructure

  • Development of security use-cases and signatures for security toolsets (incl. SIEM and EDR)

  • Ad-hoc log analysis to identify suspicious trends and malicious activities

  • Modelling of threats and threat actors pertinent to the organisation

  • The offline analysis of malicious files and binaries in a sandboxed environment


The successful candidate should have



  • Substantial years’ of relevant experience

  • Excellent attention to detail with proven communication skills

  • The ability to apply critical thinking during pressing and sensitive situations

  • Demonstrable and relevant experience and awareness of cyber security

  • Practical knowledge of technical security controls (e.g. SIEM, EDR, AV, Web + Email Gateways)

  • Strong knowledge of endpoint and server operating systems and networking

  • Drive, passion, and willingness to succeed

  • Desire to develop their knowledge and skills

  • Worked in an ISO27001 compliant organisation and is familiar with control sets

  • Relevant, desirable, certifications:

  • ISC2 CISSP, CCSP, or SSCP

  • COMPTIA CASP+, CySA+, or Security+
