The Opportunity:

DataGrail enables organizations to build trust by delivering on their privacy commitments!

On our journey to ensure that people are in charge of their privacy, we’re looking for a Security and IT thought leader who will create, execute and lead DataGrail’s Security and IT strategy. Because DataGrail builds a product used by CISOs and Privacy teams, this role will be highly visible externally as well as internally.

• Internally- Leaning on your successful background of applying security to business and addressing technology challenges with new and innovative ways, you will be a strong partner and thought leader for the company and will advocate and teach the organization about security risks and best practices. 


• Externally: You will interface with customers and prospects in security roles to explain our security profile and discuss trends in the security and privacy space. The ideal candidate enjoys networking with other security professionals, speaking at conferences and interfacing with customers.

As the Director, Security & IT, you will have a unique opportunity to build programs and policies that will support the next phase of our growth, shape DataGrails’s security culture and be a strong thought leader for our customers and prospects.

The Skill Set:

• Hands on security leader with experience building and scaling security teams and programs.


• Prior experience leading security teams and programs with at least 2+ years of management experience


• Strong experience in cloud, particularly in securing SaaS offerings


• Strong background in governance, risk, privacy, and compliance; especially within a software or technology service provider


• Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST


• Demonstrated experience building strong relationships and partnerships to influence and drive business-impacting change


• Strategic thinker who can both build a strong security roadmap and vision as well as execute to plan


• Security champion who can inspire, teach and evangelize security best practices to the whole company


• Strong communicator and able to present to a broad range of audiences - from security practitioners to senior leaders and the board.

Within 90 Days, You'll:

• Complete immersion plan to get to know the DataGrail people, products, systems, infrastructure, tools, and customers 


• Audit our security program and take over our quarterly and annual security and SOX reviews process 


• Deeply immerse yourself in our industry and begin to meet customers and prospects

Within 180 Days, You'll:

• Create and begin implementing against your long range plan for the DataGrail security program using security best practices and framework


• Deeply immerse yourself in our industry and begin to meet customers and prospects


• Review our security program and roadmap with the leadership team and the board
