Job Description:
Conquest Cyber is looking for a Sr. DevOps/SRE engineer to enhance our talented software team. As a member of the product team, you will work together alongside other software engineers to ensure the delivery and deployment of quality software components in our next generation adaptive risk management platform, a platform used by our customers to enhance their cyber resiliency. In addition to building software, you will have the opportunity to help the company define and implement secure software development best practices, standards, and strategies to “shift cybersecurity left” through advanced automation. This role is a key contributor to the software team’s activities that align with both NIST 800-218, Secure Software Development Framework, and Supply chain Levels for Software Artifacts (SLSA).
This role will require a background in building secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments. A solid foundation in Linux with a focus on Kubernetes and bash scripting will be essential for this role, and occasional development in GoLang is also possible. Your experience with security focused application delivery pipelines will be critical for success, moving beyond static and dynamic application security testing, canary deployments, blue/green deployments, into chaos engineering, fuzz testing, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
· Building and automating the setup of new development tools and infrastructure
· A combination of troubleshooting, technical and communication skills that will include a mixture of both on call and routine operational tasks
· Ensuring that our software development and production systems are resilient against cybersecurity threats
· Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Education and Experience:
· Candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, or a related field, or can demonstrate comparable professional experience
· 5+ years’ experience in supporting a 24x7 production environment
· Experience designing, implementing, and automating application delivery via CI/CD pipelines
· Proficiency in a modern programming language preferred (Go or Java)
· Experience with Zero Trust (preferred)
· Preferred certifications include: HashiCorp Cloud Engineer Certification, Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Application Developer, and/or various Azure certifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Design, implement, and manage multiple microservice CI/CD pipelines
· Demonstrable scripting skills to achieve high degrees of automation
· Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
· Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
· High learning agility and willingness to learn new technologies, languages, and tools
· Collaborates well with team members
· Customer focused and service oriented
