Cloud technologies bring a lot of exciting improvements to developers, organizations and users. New cloud solutions offer opportunities to build new products and solutions, migrate off legacy applications, and take advantage of new development tools, methodologies, and orchestration capabilities that are native to cloud platforms.
You will be working directly with clients, both individually and leading teams, to guide them in their cloud journey – from design to operations. As a Cloud Security Architect with CrossCountry Consulting, you will help clients design their cloud architectures for maximum security, while maintaining a balance of new security capabilities and simplicity. You will need to help your clients understand the benefits of the new technologies that can be offered by cloud providers (including containers, security automation, orchestration tools, and new workflows) and working with them to design, implement and learn how they can leverage these effectively. You will guide them in integrating these new capabilities and technologies into their existing security and governance processes, and uplifting those processes where needed.

Opportunities: You will be taking responsibility for the development and delivery of client-facing work, and lead project teams providing services to our clients, including:Partnering with client engineering, infrastructure and security teams to develop logical & technical cloud security architectures, API designs, and functional requirements for secure cloud environments.Building roadmaps, design and implement cloud-based technologies such as containers, infrastructure-as-code, and serverless in a secure fashion.Developing and implement security automation, orchestration, and DevOps style security capabilities within client environments, and working closely with them to ensure that these capabilities are delivering value to their teams and customers.Conducting solution-based gap analysis and defining, identifying, and engineering suitable solutions for asset testing, code scanning, identity & access management, and application & infrastructure monitoring (SIEM) in their cloud environments.Inventorying security tools, finding opportunities to consolidate, and identifying opportunities to take advantage of unknown, unused, or new features.Reviewing technical processes, specifically focused on cybersecurity and data (e.g. vulnerability management, disaster recovery, data protection, software development) and uplifting these to be effective in a cloud environment.Benchmark and model cloud security capability maturity against industry, regulatory standards, and common frameworks (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, Cloud Security Alliance, ISO 27000).
Role within practice Manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects including planning engagements, developing budgets, monitoring against progress, performing quality control of deliverables, and delivering on schedule.Develop and manage client relationships by understanding their business, listening to their needs, and ensuring responsive and collaborative service. Participate in building and advancing Cybersecurity offerings through internal and external initiatives, including developing internal capabilities, recruiting, business development, marketing, and knowledge sharing. Act as role model, supervisor, coach, and mentor to consultants and senior consultants on projects and within coaching families.
Experience Desired 5+ years of professional services experience leading complex engagements at consulting firm, or commensurate experienceA minimum of 5 years’ experience in information security with knowledge and exposure to security architecture, security assessment, security program management, or security engineering.Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with cloud environments (including AWS, Azure and GCP): assessing, designing, and building security capabilities in cloud environments, designing and implementing secure cloud architectures and environments,designing, implementing and operating cloud-specific security tools Professionalism and discretion in interacting with executives and clients Experience leading teamsPolished verbal and written communication skillsEnthusiasm, entrepreneurialism, and a great sense of humor!
