Our Mars Global Services team is currently recruiting for an experienced Network Security Engineering Senior Lead to safeguard the security of the Mars network, ensuring all private information and assets remain safe from threats to the network.
This role requires a deep technical subject matter expert to determine the proper course of action in the event of a security incident or threat. This is a global role that requires context of how Mars, Inc. and all legal entities operate so that technology choices support business objectives in a supportable manner.
Day to day your extensive knowledge of Firewall technology will enable you to develop and build the Firewall security network rules, whilst you will review and analyse requests for security exceptions to the network. You will play a key role in what the network of the future might look like by liaising with the security architecture team, digital transformation team and other stakeholders using network diagrams to depict the evolution of the future network.
Key Responsibilities:
◾Develop and recommend global strategic roadmaps for focus areas within security technology
◾Define security standards, ensure global acceptance and adherence
◾Create architecture and designs for global security technologies
◾Lead implementations of major security technologies for Mars, Inc.
◾Trusted expert on how to best leverage security to deploy business enabling solutions
◾Assist projects with development of solution architecture and review with security architecture
◾Tier 3 support role for incidents and operational tasks related to deployed security technologies
◾Core member of incident response team to identify and clear security incidents
◾High levels of communication to lead and facilitate cross functional internal and external meetings
Context and Scope:
Broad knowledge of vendor landscape and capabilities. Technical expertise in network and security technologies and deep knowledge of Mars platforms. Strong communication and critical thinking skills. Solid internal relationships including platform ownership. Leverage project management skills to deliver new technologies.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
Education & Professional Qualification:
◾University degree (engineering/IT/computer science) or equivalent work experience
◾Advanced university degree preferred, CISSP
◾Other certifications that are beneficial, but not required: SEC+, Network+, Linux+, CCIE Security, NGFW, SANS, ITIL, PMP certs
Knowledge/Experience:
•10+ years’ work experience implementing broad range of IT technologies, significant experience with security infrastructure technologies, networking technologies, factory/ICS platforms
•PCI, OWASP and NIST framework knowledge
