As we progress on this journey, we require a Senior Cyber Security Advisor who will report directly to the Cyber Security Practice Lead and will be WPP IT Cyber Security’s primary interface with our business areas. 


You will be responsible for driving the delivery and adoption of cyber security services within our operating companies. They will be required to build strong professional relationships and become a ‘trusted’ advisor on all matter’s security related to key stakeholders including, CIO’s, Business Leads, Operational Assurance Leads and others. 


Developing, managing, motivating, and guiding a small team of cyber security advisors and security governance specialists who will serve as a central point of contact for prescribed business areas. The Senior Cyber Security Advisors role will be to bring a group wide perspective. 


 The role holder will successfully promote the further adoption of centralised security services and drive consistency and continual improvement across our business areas. 


 


What you'll be doing:



  • Manage, guide and motivate a small team of Cyber Security Advisors  

  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned businesses 

  • Be a central point of contact into Cyber Security for the CIO’s and other business stakeholders 

  • Support the Cyber Security Practice Lead in uptake and delivery of centralised security services 

  • Oversee the improvement and standardisation of security controls  

  • Collect, aggregate, interpret and present security metrics to aid management reporting 

  • Drive compliance to relevant security charters, policies, and standards across the business. 


 


What you'll need:



  • MSC Information Technology degree (desirable but not essential) 

  • CISSP or similar

  • A broad understanding of cyber security capabilities, tools, processes and frameworks

  • Be versatile and proactive

  • The ability to to influence senior internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong management experience

  • Experience of managing onshore and offshore resources

  • The ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and overcome challenges

  • Have excellent analytical, diplomatic and communications skills
