THE OPPORTUNITY

Wavicle is hiring an AWS Senior Cloud Security Architect who will provide leadership on definitions of security architecture, including the development and implementation of effective security administration processes for all platforms. AWS Senior Cloud Security Architects work with Wavicle clients to define AWS security strategy, assess the security posture of their AWS environments, develop security roadmaps for AWS service adoption, and implement solutions to help customers meet their growing cloud needs. Ideal candidate should develop and recommend security designs and frameworks for technology systems by defining process and architecture for creating secure networks, building firewalls and implementing intrusion-detection systems. Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization. Participates in projects and recommends secure solutions based on policies, standards and best practices. Maintains awareness of emerging industry security technologies, technology issues, regulatory issues and practices. Wavicle AWS Senior Cloud Security Architects should have well-rounded experience in AWS IaaS and PaaS services.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
  • Create security designs and frameworks by defining process and architecture for creating secure networks, building firewalls and implementing intrusion-detection systems.
  • Conduct assessments of AWS environments by reviewing security architecture, service deployment, and operations.
  • Draft cloud security deliverables based on assessment findings.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to understand internal process and functional requirements (e. g., GRC, AppSec, DFIR, IAM, Penetration Testing).
  • Accurately and consistently document findings and recommendations that are easily digested including procedural documentation and technical briefings.
  • Assist in developing new service offerings based growing cloud services.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, virtualization, containers, infrastructure security, data security, encryption, management plane, business continuity, identity entitlement and access management.
  • Familiar with cloud security platforms such as CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, and others as new technologies emerge. Design security controls using strong knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, FedRAMP, and frameworks like OWASP, ISO, SOX, etc.
  • Develop, enhance and document security architecture, security policies, patterns, procedures, guidelines, and standards required to design cloud-based solutions.
  • Support threat modeling and update application security architecture as needed.

  • WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud Security Architecture, Information Security Architecture, and Systems Architecture is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack information security technologies (including vulnerability management, cloud posture, network security tools (ie: reverse & forward proxies, firewall) is required.
  • 4+ years of experience conducting cloud-based organizational security assessments is required.
  • 2+ years of experience assessing Risk management is required.
  • 5+ years cloud security architecture experience across data, application, and infrastructure domains is required.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS is required.
  • 1+ years of experience with regulatory frameworks FISMA, FedRAMP, PCI, GLBA, GDPR, SOX, SOC1, SOC2, PSD2 is required.
  • 2+ years of experience establishing cloud governance encompassing standards, procedures, and policy is required.
  • Preferred skills: AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or relevant degree is required.
  • Work from home opportunity; however, you must be open to traveling up to 25% to the client location.
