Role: Cloud DevSecOps Engineer 100% REMOTE NO TRAVEL
THIS IS A 1 Year+ Contract Project
The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer will be part of the team of engineers that works on automation, configuration as code, and shift-left policy security integration for foundational architecture related to applications currently running on AWS but transitioning to Azure in the longer term. They should have a strong infrastructure and background in public cloud technologies and have embedded security knowledge and understanding of the heightened security practices required by regulated financial services entities.
They will be part of the existing application teams responsible for running and supporting complex, multi-tier wealth management applications on Public Cloud.
They will be working closely with Product Management and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectations.
Skills Required:
- Experience in any of the following clous service providers – Azure / AWS (Preference is AWS given their current runtime environment).
- Experience in Kubernetes and Container-based technologies.
- Sound experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Experience with API Management (APIM) and maintaining published API interfaces
- Develop tooling and self-service capabilities.
- Strong development skills in Golang.
- Sound experience in scripting language such as shell scripting.
- Experience in DevOps roles supporting distributed application environments.
- Full Stack development experience across all application tiers in modern containerized cloud native architectures
- Sound knowledge of infrastructure and cloud computing.
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience.
- Strong software design knowledge/skills with SDLC experience
Desired:
- 3+ years of experience in working in Azure / AWS.
- Working with teams using Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile practices.
- Proficiency with standard Linux command line and debugging tools.
- Experience of working with RESTful APIs, especially to manage, configure, compute, and storage infrastructure.
- Knowledge of how to write comprehensive unit tests, including the mocking of external utilities and APIs.
