phia is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to deliver engineering, implementation, and operations support for endpoint solutions. The qualified candidate will have some experience with endpoint technologies to include but not limited to Antivirus: EDR/XDR preferably in a large organization.  This role is action and solution oriented and is intended for the Jr-Mid level candidate.

This support contract provides a broad range of cyber services to all components under the CISO including cyber operations, cyber risk, security engineering and digital integration departments. The client’s enterprise consists of over 600,000 employees, 500,000 devices, 200,000 enterprise email accounts, 200,000 endpoints, 800 firewall sets, and 640+ URLs of which 350 require web application firewall protection.
 
This job is located in Morrisville, NC, or Merrifield, VA with remote capability. Preferred candidates will live within a commutable distance to these locations, but not a showstopper if outside a commutable distance.

What You'll Do
  • Implement and operate endpoint solutions across a large and diverse enterprise (600K+ users, 600+ applications, large IP enabled footprint)
  • Configure, patch, and provide administration to endpoint security solutions
  • Leverage scripting with PowerShell or Python as needed for integration or automation
  • Test, and implement endpoint security solutions and security requirements for the enterprise
  • Support recommendations on cybersecurity initiatives
  • Assist in the development and documentation of test plans, and security-focused operational procedures and training materials
  • Assist collecting metrics for management

  • Required: Education + Experience
  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security  or related
  • 3+ years of experience 
  • Experience with policies to ensure security of enterprise network and assets
  • Knowledge of EDR/Antivirus tools and policies, including tuning and troubleshooting
  • Ability to provide EDR/AV support in IT operations and maintenance, including ticketing, issue response, and remediation
  • One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Net+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security + CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker

  • Experience with working on federal government program
  • Experience with evaluating and integrating cybersecurity tools in large enterprises
  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
