We are hiring a Microsoft Cloud Security Lead for hybrid work in Arlington, VA. It is preferred to be onsite one day per week or one week per month. The role will support a federal agency and require US citizenship and Federal background investigation.
What You'll DoServe as the principal IT (Information Technology) engineer to provide engineering expertise and guidance for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of IT cloud solutions that enhance overall system performance and availability. The core services supported include Microsoft 365and Azure security solutions. Providing expertise on Microsoft 365 security features such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, and Information Rights Management. Driving Microsoft 365 security adoption and leading technical efforts to enable Azure Information Protection across the entire suite of applications. Supporting company efforts and using the Microsoft 365 cloud suite with emphasis in security, compliance, data classification, migration support, and support of implementations. Participating in ongoing Office 365 security and strategy discussions. Baseline M365 security posture configuration and championing efforts to increase published tenant security score. Staying current of all things Office 365, including changes & updates, roadmap & releases, and third-party solutions. Documenting system configurations, standards, and procedures. Resolve technical issues to support operations of the M365 platform.Work closely with the customer on the program and assist in development of system engineering documentation and procedures. Produce technical documentation in support of engineering solutions that include, but are not limited to, architectural drawings, detailed design specifications, and thorough implementation instructions. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.Design, test, and implement secure and reliable network connectivity to cloud services (e.g., commercial cloud services providers (CSPs), private cloud, and hybrid cloud). Collaborate with all stakeholders to test all cloud related systems and application migration process to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or security.
What You Bring15 years of experience of hands-on work in network/systems engineering, and cloud engineering Experience with Microsoft 365 cloud security tools and features, such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Information Protection, and Microsoft Compliance Manager. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security best practices and compliance standards. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI for automation and configuration. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance and auditing capabilities, such as Azure Sentinel, Microsoft 365 Security Center, and Microsoft 365 Compliance Center. Experience migrating from legacy on-prem networking to the Cloud Networking. Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management. Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape. 401(k), including an employer match of 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 2% contributed
