The Project Manager - Factory IT position is responsible for the delivery and support of factory IT and factory cyber security related services and solutions and is the business expert responsible for resolving all related issues escalations. This role operates within the Engineering project management team and reports directly to the NA Petcare Controls Program Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of technical and functional delivery of factory IT projects and cyber security initiatives.
- Developing detailed project scope with clear deliverables and developing accurate and achievable project schedules; Developing project cost estimates with a high degree of accuracy.
- Designs and implements strategies and processes to reduce business risk and proactively maintain business continuity.
- Be a business advisor for regional site and central supply teams and is the responsible person for measuring and managing factory IT and cyber security health and delivering forward planning and execution of any remediation or improvements or upgrades.
- Facilitates the transfer of knowledge of factory IT systems and factory cyber security solutions to site stakeholders.
- Complying with and reinforcing safety, security, and environmental policies.
What are we looking for?
- University Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT/ High Professional Studies.
- 10+ year IT experience including server administration, factory IT and control systems network knowledge, virtual infrastructure, Cisco equipment architecture, database administration, SQL knowledge and IT security.
- The technical and project management knowledge required to execute projects that deliver stated business objectives.
- In-depth understanding of designated functional engineering area of expertise (for specific job requirement i.e. IT, controls, process, packaging).
- Approximately 20-50% travel requirement depending on project demands.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Developing detailed project scope with clear deliverables and developing accurate and achievable project schedules; Developing project cost estimates with a high degree of accuracy.
- Delivering of capital projects at our Mars Petcare NA facilities working with site leadership teams, site teams, and functional teams, such as Q&FS, Safety, R&D, Commercial, and Industrial Engineering teams.
- Maintain business continuity by ensuring infrastructure health and cyber security through proactive measure.
- Stay informed with and implement Mars global and regional factory cyber security strategies, Mars global standards, as well as external industry technology and trends. Direct NA Petcare region deployment of the related agenda.
- Minimize business risk through support, training, and advising site-based factory IT associates regarding monitoring and maintenance for all levels of factory automation that have IT dependencies (Level 1 PLC, Level 2 SCADA PC hardware & OS, Level 3 MES/MOM).
- Be a point of contact for site factory IT escalations, problem solving, and resolutions.
- Supports project managers whose projects may require attention in this area.
- Understands and advises regional and central teams on the introduction of new Digital Initiatives affecting controls and Factory IT systems, ensuring the secure design of the solutions.
