The Role
As the Security Specialist you will be responsible for creating and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols for our organization's technology infrastructure, architecture and applications. This will involve identifying and mitigating potential security threats, monitoring and analyzing security-related data, and ensuring compliance with all relevant security standards and regulations.
What you’ll do
· Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols for our technology infrastructure, architecture and applications
· Monitor and analyze security-related data to identify and mitigate potential security threats
· Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
· Implement and maintain security controls and technologies to protect against threats and vulnerabilities
· Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention
· Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
· Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
What we’re looking for
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
· At least 3 years of experience in security within the technology industry
· Strong understanding of security concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, vulnerability scanning, etc.)
· Experience with security frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
· Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus
