We are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join our team based in Sydney. The primary role of the SecOps Analyst is to improve security practices and awareness for HUB24. This role is part of a team that develops, implements and operates security practices across applications, networks, servers, and end user devices, responds to vulnerability alerts, incidents and service requests, and proactively monitors and manages security.

This role is based in our Sydney office. We have a hybrid approach to work, 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed technical analysis, design, security administration and day to day support services for HUB24 and our clients
  • Develop and improve security operational processes and procedures across a range of cloud and on-premise technology
  • Proactive vulnerability management and secure operations of cloud, network, data centre, and office infrastructure and systems
  • Provide technical expertise and analysis for security operations
  • Demonstrate creative conceptual thinking and collaborate in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Ensure the integrity, security and confidentiality of the systems and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including privacy and financial industry regulations
  • Accurately maintain documentation, including change requests, technical and user guides, hardware and software asset and configuration registers, problem and resolution knowledge bases, and documentation produced during the system life cycle

    • What you'll need to succeed:
  • Demonstrated success in driving improvements to security operational processes and technologies
  • The position prefers tertiary qualifications and 1+ years in an IT Security role
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external parties at all organisational levels
  • Knowledge of ICT practices and security principles, in both Cloud and On-Premise environments
  • Adept at conducting research into security issues, best practices, models, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of the latest industry trends and developments in security technologies and practices
  • Understanding of both ITIL and DevOps principles and the practical application of these standards.
