Job Description Summary:
PayPal is looking for a passionate, self-driven Distinguished Engineer that can lead and solve for large and complex problems, build strategy, and support the Security Architecture, Engineering, and Operations organization. The Lead Security Architect will have a direct responsibility to enhance and enable PayPal's ability to expand and protect the brand by maturing a global portfolio of information security services, tools, and product capabilities. The position entails representing the Security Architecture, Engineering, and Operations organization with leadership, business and other technical teams, leading the charge on solving complex initiative and supporting large business programs. Providing security leadership, know-how and architecture, internally and externally. This leader will be responsible for supporting all PayPal brands, helping the PayPal business while continuing to protect the brand, ensuring the safety and trust across all products and services globally. It's an individual contributor position, reporting to the Global Head of Security Architecture, Engineering, and Operations.

Required Skills
Lead and design security solutions for large and complex programs and products.

Experience Requirements
Respected senior information security leader at a large, global company in dynamic and fast-changing markets
Experience influencing large teams of top-tier analysts and engineers
This is a challenging assignment which will entail tackling enterprise-wide technology and business challenges and driving them to resolution. The right candidate will have deep experience and understanding of technology, proven track managing large, cross-functional, technology initiatives, a solid knowledge of change management, and the proven ability to manage human organizational dynamics effectively.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, translation into operating plans and budgets, making buy/build decisions based on requirements, importance to the business, risk, and cost.
Experience in financial services and security technology industries
