AmesburyTruth is looking for an IT Security Engineer to join our team. As an IT Security Engineer, you will continuously improve and refine the IT security strategy and posture to address real world conditions and threats.

 

This position is able to work from any of our locations, or even fully remote. You will earn a competitive base wage plus annual bonus.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an effective IT security strategy for all Tyman plc companies globally.
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect all Tyman plc companies’ information, network, IT infrastructure, and associated computer systems.
  • Identify, define and document IT security requirements for all Tyman plc companies and recommend solutions to IT leadership.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IT security infrastructure software and/or hardware to prevent and/or monitor for anomalies, intrusions, security breaches, and/or data loss at AmesburyTruth.
  • Train and serve as the technical escalation point for other Tyman plc companies’ IT resources on the same or similar IT security infrastructure software and/or hardware.
  • Educate and train other Tyman plc companies’ IT resources on information system security best practices.
  • Develop and implement an effective IT security employee education program for AmesburyTruth and assist other Tyman plc companies’ IT resources with the same.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of IT security and new technologies and tools available.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in IT-related field
  • Five or more years’ experience as a Systems Security Engineer or related position
  • Extensive experience with NIST or similar IT security framework
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems and associated security, network security, anti-virus, IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, content filtering, and identity/authentication management
  • Strong problem diagnosis and solving skills
  • Self-starting, ability to work without direct supervision, managing own workload while asking for help when needed
  • Exceptional Customer Service Orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a business partner with all levels and functional areas of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, multilingual a plus (English a must, Spanish and Italian desired)
