It is expected that the candidate will work on research projects that are funded by AVAST, CISCO and national funding agencies, continue publishing results of her/his research at leading cybersecurity, AI or CS conferences and high-impact journals and eventually to contribute to writing proposals and/or supervise and co-supervise master and PhD students.
The candidate, PhD holder, needs to be ready for an academic career, while be keen to collaborate with industry to further develop her/his expert knowledge. While cybersecurity experience is required, knowledge of other fields of AI is an advantage, e.g. machine learning and data analysis, game theory, automated planning and sequential decision making or optimization.

The Artificial Intelligence Center (http://aic.fel.cvut.cz/) and the Department of Computer Science (http://cs.fel.cvut.cz/), at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague are rapidly growing research oriented entities, one of the leading research and education institutions in the combined fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, multiagent systems and robotics. While the AI center focuses on fundamental and application oriented research and technology transfer in the various fields of AI, the department provides bachelor and master students with a specialized computer science program. Repeatedly, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering has been pronounced as the best research and education institution in computer science countrywide and according to the QS ranking, CTU has been identified as best computer science university in region of Central Europe and second best in the wider region of Central and Eastern Europe.
The department and AI center has strong relationships with leading IT companies. The department and the AI Center has been collaborating with CISCO, Red Hat, Profinit, AVAST, FOXCONN, Skoda Auto, Toyota, Honeywell, Google, Boeing, FAA, Procter&Gamble, SAAB, Rockwell Automation, Denso Automation, Cadence Design System. There is a strong passion for applications and technology transfer at the AI center, leading towards establishing several successful startups throughout the last 10 years. One of the startups - Cognitive Security was acquired by CISCO Systems in 2013.
