POSITION SUMMARY
This position plays a senior enterprise architect role in their domain (Supply Chain, Global Store Fronts, Consumer Engagement, Product & Innovation, and Corporate & Teammate Services).
Strategy: This position will work closely with the IT teams and their business partners to define IT strategy and roadmaps. These roadmaps will be aligned to business strategy, and clearly define when new capabilities can be introduced.
Architecture: This position will understand the desired future state technical architecture and will help to define the approach to closing gaps to reach it in order to scale the business and/or reduce costs.
Governance: This position will help to enforce our architecture principles in order to reduce complexity and improve business process throughout organization.
Communication: This position will be a consistent voice ensuring that enterprise architecture team's purpose and operating model are clearly understood by their partners across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assisting in developing the enterprise architecture program within their domain, as well as promoting and communicating purpose to our partners.
· Leveraging their technical expertise to recommend when, and how technology could, or should impact timing, or sequencing of roadmaps.
· Providing expert input into the design related to strategic initiatives to ensure efficiency, and scalability. This will focus on the technology being used, and approaches to development and integration.
· Participating in the evaluation, selection, and governance of new technology additions, or major changes in use. Create, maintain, and oversee the appropriate artifact libraries required for documentation and consistency.
· Identifying opportunities to reduce, or prevent technology spend and complexity.
· Identifying opportunities where new technology could provide meaningful benefit to the organization whether consumer facing, or for internal operational benefit.
· Supports alignment across IT Leadership regarding the IT Principles that will guide our technology decisions, and documenting them for all teams to easily access.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES)
· Communications, both verbal and written
· Group session facilitation
· Team leadership
· Marketing (“selling” the results of architectural approaches through presentations)
· Analysis and design
· Modeling and graphical representations and abstractions
· Management (prioritization, trade-off analysis, psychology, etc.).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
· Masters in Business Administration or Computer Science degree desired.
· 5+ years of IT experience
· 3+ years of direct technology support and design experience.
· 3+ years of development/administrator and/or business analysis experience.
· Meaningful experience solving complex business challenges by identifying and leveraging technology as part of the solution.
· Consumer Products and/or functional experience in the relevant domain is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Certification, or similar desired.
