Accumulus is seeking a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer to join the team to focus on hardening in the cloud platform environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of both the Azure cloud platform and the cyber security landscape. This will be a hands-on security engineering role within the Platform Security Engineering Team working on hardening the product platform, reporting directly to the Director of Platform Security. 

Starting day one, you will have the unique opportunity to support the growth of Accumulus Synergy through executing a defense in depth strategy in a DevSecOps methodology.  

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and build relationships with the product engineering team. 


• Secure the platform to required FedRAMP High and CIS Benchmark standards. 


• Architect, define, and implement security standards and best practices for the platform as it relates to the following domains utilizing native Azure security services:




• Network Security


• IAM


• Data Security


• Configuration Management


• SIEM/SOC




• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools. 


• Develop, evaluate, and respond to alerts and events from the security tools, including tuning of tool configuration to minimize false positives, development of event response documentation and incident response processes. 


• Work within a DevSecOps model so that security is automated and elastic across the platform. 


• Be part of an on-call rotation supporting the platform. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in computer science preferred. 


• Background in cloud engineering preferred. Background in another Information Technology discipline required. Minimum 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity.  


• 4+ years of experience working with cloud security on the Azure platform.


• Experience with APIs, orchestration, automation, terreform, python, and ARM templates. 


• Security Certifications Preferred (AZ-900, AZ-500, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
