Description:
As a Cybersecurity Exercise Planner, you will directly work with the Information Security Officer and Staff. You will take previous experience with large enterprise exercise planning to develop and execute custom, realistic, scenario-based exercises to test the effectiveness of our current security processes across a wide range of enterprise functions, playing a key role in bolstering the security posture of the firm. Because of this, the candidate will be required to effectively work with and communicate with varying levels of stakeholders to include team leadership, senior executives, technical and non-technical customers. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering sessions and work with process owners and stakeholders to define and document required cybersecurity process evaluations.
- Draft and maintain exercise life cycle documents, to include those needed from early concept and development planning meetings through execution, to include after-action reporting.
- Develop and execute exercises ranging from tabletop exercises intended to identify policy and process issues, to functional exercises with active scenarios developed to test cyber incident response plans command and control procedures, and cross-enterprise coordination.
- Develop after-action reports, lessons learned, and process improvement plans which incorporate recommendations and modifications to cybersecurity plans, processes, and protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working in Cybersecurity, IT, including technology exercise planning
- Experience with providing briefings to an executive audience
- Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity systems and technologies
- Knowledge of drive scenario planning
- Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance policy, programs, processes, and metrics
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working in Cybersecurity, IT, including technology exercise planning
- Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems, draw logical conclusions, make sound decisions, develop solutions, and negotiate and respond accordingly to drive closure
- Ability to be a self-starter by proactively identifying problems, determining pragmatic solutions, identifying, and obtaining needed resources, and executing with little or no supervision
- Ability to write clear and concise assessment reports
- Ability to collaborate with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive management
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent critical thinking and thought leadership skills
- Possession of excellent analytical with problem-solving skills
- Cyber Certifications, including Security+ or CISSP
