The Awake Threat Research group is a collection of talented security professionals who thrive on providing new insights for their customers and the community at large. Leveraging the Awake platform and the support of our engineering colleagues, we create novel ways to expose the most significant threats before their existence is known elsewhere.

Highly-qualified candidates will have the following characteristics:

• Experienced in contributing to product-focused research capabilities

• Experienced in creating complex SQL-based queries

• Experienced in building Python-based prototypes

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols

• Comfortable collaborating with software engineers and data scientists

• Comfortable working with both remote and local employees

• Living in (or willing to relocate to) the San Francisco Bay Area

Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to participate in the following:

• Identifying and/or contributing to key research areas within the group

• Discovering campaigns and creating threat intelligence reports for the industry

• Speaking at major conferences about your discoveries and research
