We are hiring for an IT & Security Engineer! Primary responsibility of this role is to manage the company's cloud-based technology infrastructure and security controls, with a focus on implementing proactive improvements. This involves evaluating and testing new software solutions, security controls, planning technology upgrades, general troubleshooting, and incident response. 

This role is not remote, the successful hire will be expected to go in our Charlotte, NC office.

Skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of key security concepts.
  • High degree of understanding of Windows Client OS, MacOS, Windows and Macbook devices and Jamf MDM.
  • Experience managing and securing core business platforms such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide range of vendors and service providers relationships.
  • Experience implementing managing SaaS solutions in the areas of: Identity Management, Communication, Sales, Workflow and general productivity.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure via Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attentiveness to detail.
  • Experience with automating infrastructure and integrations tasks using automation services or scripting languages including: Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment.
  • Networking experience is an asset.

    • What Will You Be Doing
  • Technology: Plan, select, and implement productivity and security applications and platforms. (OS/self-hosted/Paas/SaaS) Secure, manage and maintain all end-user hardware and software with an overall objective to improve security, scalability, reliability and performance. Maintain and propose improvement to hardware, software and security controls
  • Monitoring usage and identifying threats of indicators of compromise.
  • Integrate: Implement and manage integrations between business systems based on security standards and best practices.
  • Networking: Maintaining functionality and security of networks deployed in offices globally including management of security devices, IoT devices and guest networks.
  • Support: Ensure employees have what they need to do their jobs effectively and help employees be secure, effective and enthusiastic in using our Technology Stack. Provide implementation assistance to the Dev Ops team.
  • Monitor: Review log data from application, systems and networks for security threats, anomalies or breaches.
  • Optimize: Making sure we are current on our tech and finding new ways to take better advantage of the tools we use. Work to drive automation, propose improvements and maturity of our existing processes and technologies.
