THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Information Security Analyst, to serve as our first dedicated security hire, reporting into the CTO. As a company, YCharts has been on a journey the past several years to identify and implement a plethora of security and privacy controls as we work to come into compliance with various security frameworks. With that initial effort largely done, the company is looking for a person to maintain and monitor the controls we have in place while scoping, planning and supporting the implementation of further controls that will enhance our organization's information security. As a first hire in the security function, we expect ample opportunities for growth and leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

• Maintain existing security controls and ensure compliance with targeted security and privacy frameworks
• Record, monitor, report and organize the remediation of any security incidents
• Detect, record, report and monitor emerging security threats or reported vulnerabilities and ensure mitigating actions are taken.
• Design and lead an organized process to complete external security questionnaires in a timely and organized manner
• Work with potential partners and vendors to ensure they meet our security standards
• Research, scope out and guide the implementation of new controls to enhance the organization's security posture.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• At least 2+ years in a similar security-focused analyst role.
• Experience working with various security focused and security adjacent SaaS tools that perform Aggregated Logging, EDR, DLP, FIM, IDS/IPS.
• Desire to take ownership and responsibility when a problem or opportunity arises
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-organized and able to drive cross-functional efforts
