OVERVIEW 

Full-time/Permanent
Employee Location: Reston, VA 

The candidate will have the necessary breadth of experience and depth, across information assurance and security disciplines. The successful candidate will apply their hands-on experience to help the customer implement and maintain the required security policies and practices to multiple, tailored, LAN/WAN infrastructures. The candidate must have good attention to detail, well organized, and a problem-solver. The candidate may be asked to support the customer in evaluating commercial solutions and implementation approaches that will be used to link IT systems spread across multiple sites.  This role may involve fifteen percent travel within the CONUS.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph 
  • Years of Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience - may consider additional experience in lieu of degree 
  • Education: BS Degree 
  • Experience supporting information technology systems, network engineering, or software development 
  • Experience with best practices for 'security hardening' network infrastructures, software O/S, applications and databases 
  • Experience with the following: 
  • IT/Domain system administration access control and analysis 
  • Network/host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems and anti-malware countermeasures 
  • Network access control and analysis (Firewall, Router, Switch) 
  • Security anomaly review, analysis, and response 
  • Documenting security architectures 
  • Implementation of PKI and digital certificates 
  • Implementation of, and cryptographic solutions for, data in transit (VPNs, SSL, etc.) and data at rest (Bitlocker, LUKS, etc.) Detailed knowledge of WAN and LAN networking systems and software in order to create plans and layouts for data communication networks 
  • Experience with secure data transport system design and implementation and the elements associated with securely moving data 
  • Familiarity with commercial cloud services and virtual networks solutions 
  • Experience performing technical assessments and generation of networking system requirements and definitions from conception to deployment 
  • Ability to think and execute strategically to identify cross-cutting enablement opportunities (e.g. ‘building blocks’) traceable back to a mission need 

    • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Implementation of DISA STIGS or CIS Benchmarks 
  • Certified in cybersecurity 
  • Certified in cloud security   
  • Background experience with the following: 
  • Containers and container management applications  
  • Computer forensics  
  • Cross-platform security event log correlation  
  • Implementing Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy  
  • Implementing cross-platform centralized authentication  
  • Shell scripting (Powershell, Python, Perl, Bash)  
  • Automated inventory management solutions
