The Principal Solution Architect (North America) provides a unique combination of extraordinary technical acumen and a relentless desire to help our customers tackle complex ICS / OT cybersecurity challenges. Reporting to the Director of Solution Architects, the Principal Solution Architect (North America) supports business across North America, the Federal sector, as well as some international businesses. This person helps set technical strategies for winning and retaining customers, provides front-line, hands-on support to help deliver technical wins, and advises our prospects and customers on their unique journey with Dragos.
In conjunction with Sales Account Executives and Solution Architects, the Principal Solution Architect (North America) will be responsible for supporting in-person and remote product demonstrations, articulating the technical value of Dragos products and offerings, and executing highly complex technical win pursuits – activities that demand a tenacious, persistent, and highly competitive mindset.
In addition to driving revenue and positioning customers for long-lasting success, the Principal Solution Architect is an internal advocate for the sales team – acting as a key partner to product management, engineering, R&D, and customer success teams. This individual understands the importance of humble collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals and provides our internal partners with a front-line view of customer trends and feedback to continue to improve upon our industry-leading collection of solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in pre/post sales process to understand customer requirements, technical objectives, & environment
- Offer consultative recommendations to our customers/clients -for complete awareness of our best practices
- Perform customized/tailored product demonstrations
- Provide trade show/conference support
- Assist sales to select & design the correct solutions & identify future opportunities
- Articulate the value & differentiators of Dragos’ solutions & services
- Proof of Concept deployments, management & troubleshooting/support
- Respond to inbound product & services related queries such as requests for information, proposals, & statements of work
- Provide feedback & guidance to Product Management based on the sales organization, partner, internal & customer-generated feedback
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a pre-sales or consultative role
- 7+ years experience in an information/cyber security role (practitioner backgrounds
- Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate training and present complex analytical data to a variety of audiences
- Strong presentation, relationship building, & negotiation skills
- Networking experience: TCP/IP, OSI model, & Purdue model
- Strong working knowledge with Linux CLI, Wireshark/Tshark, TCPdump, NiFi, ELK, Zeek/Bro, Snort, & Jupyterhub
- Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python, Lua, etc.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment that demands independence, acting with urgency, and strong critical thinking skills.

- Have practical experience in a security operations center, investigating incidents, hunting for threats, analyzing malware, and defending critical infrastructure, whether in an IT or OT environment.
- Have past ICS/OT Security Practitioner experience
- Have experience in or knowledge of common ICS/OT Network topologies
Compensation:
- OTE: $247,00
- OTE + Benefits + Equity = $322,500
