Listing Description
At Regions, the Risk Offensive Security Technical Writer is a critical member of the Enterprise Threat Assessment Group (ETAG), a team focused on red team engagements and adversary emulation. The role at this level is responsible for managing stakeholder communication through the development of reports and presentation materials designed to convey technical information in the context of business risk. This position is one of the primary interfaces for the ETAG team, ensuring clear and concise communication of identified risks, gaps, and remediation recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Writes clear and concise technical reports from artifacts generated through red and purple team engagements throughout the year
- Synthesizes technical concepts into business related impacts and risks
- Clearly articulates any identified gaps, risks, or concerns to key stakeholders, including individual contributors, management, and executives through reports, presentations, and verbal discussions
- Manages previously identified issues through Regions’ issues management platform, monitoring remediation efforts and discussing issues and concerns with stakeholders
- Maintains an understanding of high-level cybersecurity threats present in the global environment, leveraging that knowledge to inform the team and drive planning efforts
- Maintains a close relationship with Information Technology (IT) operations and security teams, working to understand and communicate security-related risks to teams and leadership
- Integrates closely with the ETAG and Cyber Security Risk teams to communicate real-world potential impact
- May offer advice and guidance to junior technical writers
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Computer Science, Communications, or related field
- Three (3) year of experience in technical writing
