Listing Description

•Perform root cause analysis of incidents and make corrective recommendations

•Ensure correct function of, including but not limited to, network switches/routers, monitor anomalous activity, create/review reports, and support anomaly resolution

•Support engineering efforts for network enhancements, replacement of obsolete equipment, and performs documentation, and configuration management updates as needed•Minimum 4+ years of supporting network systems with an emphasis on remote access technologies and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of networking experience and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree

•Knowledge, understanding, and experience with configuration of Cisco or Juniper routers and switches, IP addressing

•Experience with VPN technologies including: Remote Access VPN, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN

•Working knowledge of networking protocols and security implications

•Experience tracing data flows though the network to determine problem root cause

•Knowledge of general application protocols such as DNS, SNMP, SSH, and TFTP

•Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols

•Knowledge to create firewall policies for firewall deployment

•Experience validating, testing, and managing firewall rules

•Requires good communication skills to support effective and accurate exchange of information with teammates and customers

•Requires ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

•This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

•General understanding of Linux and Windows system troubleshooting, integration, deployment, and administration

•Advanced knowledge of routing protocols

•Understanding of load balancer integration

•Understanding of Web and application server integration, security, and troubleshooting

•Experience with standards-compliance (NIST, PCI, etc.)

•Experience evaluating systems and network devices and enterprise networks for IA/Security vulnerabilities

•Scripting experience in one of the following: PowerShell, bash/ksh/sh, Cisco IOS.sh, sh/csh, Perl, Python or alike

Required Education:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience is required degree or equivalent combination of networking experience and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
