What You’ll Do

Studio X is seeking a Security Administrator to provide information security services for AWS cloud environments. This position will report to the Head of Operations  and work with teams of developers, IT and DevOps engineers, data, and geoscientist for building, maintaining and continually improving secure services to support our products.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Implement and support security configurations to architectures for cloud systems. 


• Works with the team to maintain all documentation for process and procedures related to IT security


• Work with the development and engineering teams to ensure that the architecture will support the existing and planned applications


• Provide guidance on the remediation of security findings and work with the team and others to document and report appropriately


• Perform security and compliance controls integration on systems life cycle from the start to end


• Manage cloud-based controls including identity and access management and securely configuring cloud environments 


• Provide security recommendations on service design, application development, and coding; working cross-functionally to maintain consistent processes



• Manage cryptography and encryption of data in the cloud 


• Log, monitor, and respond to detected incidents



• Work closely with engineering and other functions to implement and maintain information security best practices

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline required 


• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Cloud platforms


• 3+ years' experience in deployment and management of AWS security services including Security Hub, AWS Inspector, AWS Systems Manager, OpenSearch Dashboards


• Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments


• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)


• Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management with Terraform preferred


• Experience with cloud trail, OpenSearch, and Splunk preferred

• Preferred location: Austin, Remote for the right candidate


• Up to 15% travel may be required
