Role Description

The Operations Engineer is a key member of Accenture’s Cyber Threat Intelligence Engineering Team. This role centers on an ability to facilitate the operations of software products, tools, and solutions that enable the collection and dissemination of Cyber Threat Intelligence data. In this position, you will be responsible for operational efficiencies, compliance, and support of cloud environments as you work closely with multiple agile teams. The successful candidate has both the technical skills as well as the operational experience to support robust enterprise applications. The successful candidate embodies a passion for continuous improvement and quality. Communication, teamwork and technical acumen will be your primary tools.


Key Responsibilities

·         Manage infrastructure and operations through code and established baselines

·         Drive DevSecOps best practices and ensuring operational considerations are baked into all implementations

·         Drive technology consistency across engineering projects

·         Support production operations and customer service requests

·         Troubleshoot functional and operational issues effectively for responsible resolution

·         Support other engineering team members through cross development and cross training exercises

·         Ensure team is able to quickly iterate development tasks and leverage CI/CD pipeline

·         Document functional and system specifications for reference and reporting

·         Manage Security and Client Data Protection controls

·         Develop consistency in monitoring and fault management across all products

 

Basic Qualifications

·         College degree (BS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

·         Minimum 3 years of experience developing and supporting cloud native applications in production environments

·         Minimum 2 years of experience with Python, Java or similar programming languages

 

Required Skills

·         Experience with AWS or other cloud environments

·         Knowledge of software architecture principals, graph analytics and network engineering concepts

·         Proficient understanding of BASH

·         Experience managing Linux infrastructure and cloud managed services

·         Experience building and deploying applications in public cloud infrastructure

·         Experience developing APIs and RESTFUL microservices

·         Experience using GIT or related version control systems

·         Experience with containerized technologies

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Willingness to work on a team or independently with minimal supervision

·         Ability to work with cross functional teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issues

Desired Skills:

·         Experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes

·         Experience with Datadog monitoring solutions
