Opportunity Overview
In-Vehicle Security team plays a critical role in security autonomous driving systems in TuSimple. As a Product Security Engineer Intern at TuSimple, you will have the opportunity to work on various product security projects and gain highly sought after skills in the fields of automotive and get a well-rounded view of system, software and hardware security. You will help ensure the highest level of security of the TuSimple autonomous system and services offering by engaging with all stages of the product life cycle, from security product development to operation. Your goal will be to identify security issues in product designs and/or implementations related to TuSimple autonomous solutions in vehicle and its ecosystem.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product security, cloud security, and product teams during analysis/ design/ development/ testing
- Develop security related solutions or systems
- Perform security assessment, design reviews, code audits.
Experience & Skills Required
- Enrolled in a MS/PhD program with focus in Cyber security, or computer science for focus on computing and communication systems
- Previous Experience or solid understanding of concepts or hands on experience in one of the following
- Web application security, software security concepts and tools, API security
- Applied cryptography and cryptographic interfaces, TLS, X.509, PKCS 11, HSMs, hardware system security
- Risk management methodology, threat modeling, vulnerability management frameworks
- Microservice architectures (containers and K8s) and their security
- Automotive security, IOT security,
- AWS security services and concepts, CIS bench marks.
- Certifications: any certificates in security or cloud will be valuable
