VP IAM
Overview
The Vice President of Identity and Access Management (VP of IAM) has responsibility for the execution of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across the global organization to provide the correct individuals with access to the right resources with the right data at the right time.
· The VP of IAM drives collaboration between information security, risk, audit, human resources, business, and technology staff to grant proper access to entitlements, ensuring the security of the organization's sensitive information.
· The ideal individual must work across departments to develop strategies regarding identity and access management and then execute on these policies.
· The VP of IAM ensures that the identity and access management direction meets the established organizational standards and continuously monitors the current access management processes, creating accurate documentation, analyzing user access needs, and implementing new access systems when necessary.
· The role will build and maintain best-in-class technology architectures, capabilities, and experiences in a hybrid cloud enterprise.
This role reports to the SVP of Identity & Data Protection
Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience in Information Security with specific experience in leading Identity and Access Management teams
· 10+ years of experience leading organizations through change and transformation, motivating teams to deliver and create a world-class workplace experience
· Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, etc. preferred
· Demonstrated success in senior IT leadership and business judgment in the management of Identity and Access Management Services within a large, complex, and highly federated organization
· Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, with a focus on the customer, at all levels of the organization
· Must demonstrate an agile and flexible detail-oriented approach to work with a sense of urgency; adjusting approach as required as business needs evolve
· Experience working with third-party suppliers including overseeing financials/budgets, contracts, and SLAs
· Holistic view of IAM (Authentication and Authorization Data, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Policy Engine)
· Solid understanding of security principles and data protection practices
· Experience with, and understanding of, modern authentication methods
· Expertise in Identity and Authentication solutions
· Experience and advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and risk and compliance requirements
· Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices
· Experience in deploying large-scale, enterprise projects and programs
· Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages
· Demonstrates general understanding of cloud computing and services, traditional hardware/software platforms, including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies
· Familiarity with deployments and integration of IAM solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Duties & Responsibilities
· The Vice President of Identity and Access Management (VP of IAM) will have the opportunity to consolidate, build and develop a global access management program with a strong focus on the end-user experience while helping to accelerate automation, scalability, and risk mitigation for the organization
· Drives collaboration between information security, risk, audit, human resources, business, and technology staff to grant proper access to entitlements, ensuring the security of the organization's sensitive information
· The VP of Identity and Access Management will have responsibilities in the following areas
o Implementing a formal program to enhance and centralize the Identity and Access Management functions
o Defining the framework to support the end-to-end identity lifecycle management for Fiserv’s broad application suite across multiple platforms
o Evaluating, selecting, and deploying processes that facilitate efficient and repeatable access management controls including onboarding, offboarding, and time-based access
o Ensuring access privileges are granted according to policy, and all users are properly authenticated and authorized
o Overseeing the execution, delivery, and support of services
o Developing, enacting, and enforcing identity and access runbooks and procedures
o Designing KPI metrics and reporting to monitor compliance and effectiveness of the program
· The VP of IAM ensures that the identity and access management direction meet the established organizational standards and continuously monitors the current access management processes, creating accurate documentation, analyzing user access needs, and implementing new access systems when necessary
· Develop and articulate identity and access risk management strategies that continuously monitor and improve the security of client-facing and internally facing applications
· This senior leadership role will manage the end-to-end identity lifecycle of Fiserv’s employees, contractors, and service accounts across multiple platforms in a complex environment
· Govern and continually improve processes/procedures that focus on risk-based access controls; provide the least allowable access required for business operations, including role-based access modeling
· Generate innovative ideas and appropriately challenge the status quo; identify opportunities to improve logical access provisioning processes
· Foster a high-performance culture and team by developing their skills and effectively managing the quality of automated access security services delivered
· Monitor automation performance by including benchmarking and tracking performance against service improvements
· Collaborate with business and technology teams to create and maintain IAM risk management policies and standards reflecting the company's risk appetite and industry best practices to assure robust controls
· Exercise diligent priority evaluation and careful budgetary management, including budget preparation and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while providing reasoned alternatives to solve problems
· Ensure cybersecurity, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are properly defined, deployed, and tested
· Lead and develop a diverse group of managers and engineers to excel as a high-performing team focused on delivering a frictionless customer experience
· Lead using lean principles to drive a culture of experimentation, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement
· Able to foster and build strong client and customer relationships across various business units at all levels of the organization
· Driven to achieve organizational goals and outcomes through collaboration and alignment
· Ensure operating model, organizational structure, and processes are optimized to deliver high quality, contemporary, cost-effective services with a focus on business value-add
· Meet the evolving and diverse needs of a broad customer base and various business partners with an emphasis on ‘business value; continuously seek creative and innovative means to balance information security with business enablement and efficiency
· Provide direction and guidance to the development, specifications and communications of the IAM application and architecture as well as provide in-depth technical consultation to the business units and IT Management and assist in developing plans and direction for the integration of information security requirements
· Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong IAM program that balances access with compliance and confidentiality
Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
